Upon receiving a new picture cut, you may find that cues have been added, removed, or their timings adjusted. It's essential to update your cue list to reflect these changes.
First, navigate to the Picture page to log your new picture version(s). If you work with reels you can use the handy New Turnover tool.
Next, it's time to update our cue list. CueDB offers two methods for this:
- Manual Update: Directly edit the timecode values by clicking on the timecode fields. Add any new cues, and for those no longer used, you can either mark them as omitted, inactivate, or delete them from the project.
- Import Cues: This is the preferred method. Utilize CueDB's Import tools to import data from your DAW or a spreadsheet. This will automatically adjust the timecodes for existing cues and create entries for new ones. Post-import, you should review the list and flag any cues that are no longer present as omitted, inactivate them, or remove them entirely.
