Statuses

CueDB offers seven distinct status fields, covering everything from composition to orchestration and mixing. However, we'll be focusing specifically on the 'Status' field here.

Each status option falls under a main category and a sub-category. The main categories include 'Unapproved Compositions', 'Approved Compositions', 'Inactive', 'Songs', and 'Licensed'. This system makes it straightforward to track totals and progress. By looking at one single field, it allows us to easily determine whether a cue is on the composer's plate, whether it's a song, licensed, or no longer in the game.

Moreover, status categories are linked to roles. For example, if you assign a cue to 'John Doe' and designate its status as 'To Write', we can then track totals and progress for both the project overall and for individual writers.
